Biblio-Sofa The Clearing is the uppermost of the three houses above the old farm of Cal Pastou. Following a tarmac serpentine for about 400m across a sparse forest you reach our house amidst holly oaks. The view from here passes over treetops and settles at the medieval town of Palalda which is nestled against a rock. From deep down you hear the roaring of river Tech.
Singles, couples or families can spend their holidays in La Clairière and can book additional day trips.
We let three double rooms which can also be used as single rooms, each with its own entry from outside and a shower with WC.
The house is suitable for travellers who have a socially and environmentally aware lifestyle.
We assist our guests with discovering the region, its inhabitants and their lifestyle and traditions respectfully. And travellers who are interested and in contact with themselves can learn about the regional history, culture , and specialities.

House and garden offer enough space to be alone, to relax, to draw or paint, to write, to read ….or to exchange with other guests, to cook together, to hike or to play boules .
The garden is terraced and covers about 7000m² up the mountain.
There are seats and sunbeds, and you can also use a water basin for swimming.

The summer kitchen in the pavilion can also be used in spring and autumn as well as during rainy spells.
There is a parking lot for the guests.

Terrasse In our library you can find maps, travel guides, French and German novels, art books, reference books, and books for young readers. There are also many games including bowling equipment.

We offer our bikes for free. There is a bike lane from Arles-sur-Tech via Amélie to Céret and then to Argelès-sur-Mer. Experienced bikers can use wonderful stretches via passes to Spain and in the foothills of Canigou.

You can either cater for yourself or be pampered by us. You can order breakfast daily or occasionally, and dinner from time to time.
